We collect information you provide when creating an account, making bookings, or contacting us. This includes your name, email address, passport details, diving certifications, and payment information. Payment details are processed securely by Stripe — we never store card numbers.

2. How we use your information

We use your data to process bookings, communicate with liveaboard operators, provide customer support, send booking confirmations and pre-trip information, and improve our platform. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Data sharing

We share necessary booking and traveler information (including passport details and medical certifications) with liveaboard operators to fulfill your reservations. Payment processing is handled by Stripe under their own privacy policy. We may share aggregate, anonymized data for analytics purposes.

4. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

5. Data retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as required by applicable law. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@mydivepod.com. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted storage for sensitive fields, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
