This voyage is tailored for the inquisitive and avid adventurer. We will leave behind the hustle and bustle of modern life to immerse ourselves in a world of quiet villages, aquamarine lagoons, and the remote atolls of the Flores Sea. From the dry and hilly islands of Komodo National Park, where the largest lizards on earth roam, we will sail north to the little-known islands separating Flores from Sulawesi. This is the land of the Bajo, also referred to as “sea gypsies,” a seafaring people whose way of life has changed little over the course of history, living in houses on stilts by the shore.

Pirate Island: After your arrival on board, we will sail to the island of Sabolan, where you can enjoy swimming and snorkeling along a pristine white sandy beach.

Bonerate Island: Visit the main village, where sandy streets wind through traditional houses built on stilts, and elegant Lambo boats are crafted along the beach. At midday, we will cross the narrow strait to the eastern tip of Kalao Island and anchor along a spectacular beach. Enjoy snorkeling on a nearby reef, followed by a hike to the nearby village. As the sun sets, unwind with an aperitif on the beach before spending a quiet night at anchor.

We will spend three full days exploring the many islands of the Taka Bonerate National Park, some inhabited, most untouched. Our journey will be filled with beachcombing, snorkeling, and zodiac explorations through crystal-clear waters. We will visit villages where curious children greet us with warm smiles, engage with the locals, and savor unforgettable beachside barbecues on remote, pristine shores.

We will explore the uninhabited islands of Jailamu and Panjang, where crystal-clear waters, vibrant coral reefs, and immaculate beaches lined with swaying palm trees await. Our journey will also take us through the scenic landscapes of Tanah Jampea Island, offering the opportunity to hike through lush rice fields, fragrant spice plantations, and dense forests, passing through quiet and charming villages along the way.

Komodo National Park: Embark on a trek through the monsoon forests of Rinca Island, keeping an eye out for the elusive Komodo dragon. Enjoy swimming from pristine pink beaches and snorkeling in vibrant waters alongside turtles, reef sharks, manta rays, and other pelagic species. Conclude the day with a rewarding hike to hilltops, where breathtaking views of the surrounding archipelago await.

You will wake up next to a charming little island just 30 minutes from the harbor. There, you can unwind on a delightful beach and explore the vibrant marine life. After that, we will bid farewell to the crew and transfer you to the airport, leaving you with wonderful memories to cherish.
