You may be lucky to spot whale sharks, turtles, mantas, reef sharks, Napoleons... as well as some nudis rarely seen elsewhere. The similan is also our favorite place to conduct Blackwater diving in Thailand! Koh Bon & Koh Bon Pinnacle: The main attraction here are Manta Rays but when they are not around, there is plenty of tropical fish to look at. There is also a very good chance for Whale Shark and Zebra Sharks. After playing with Manta’s we will go south to another dive site in Similan National Park. Your cruise director will choose from various dive sites in the Northern part of the Similan Islands. You will love the view from the boat on some idyllic islands with lush green forest surrounded by white sand beaches. Here we dive for the usually great viz and hope to spot leopard sharks, blue spotted stingray, school of snappers and fusiliers, emperor fish, clown trigger fish and more tropical colourful fish as well as some Moray eels, turtles and mantis shrimps living in the rocky areas. Koh Tachai Pinnacle where we usually have a very fishy dive with massive schools of barracudas, bluefin and giant trevally, sweetlips, batfish a very nice dive spot. This is also a good place to see whale sharks so keep your eyelids peeled! On Koh Tachai you will have the choice between a sunset dive or Black Water dive. Last dive of the trip will be on the morning and we will cruise back toward Ranong in the afternoon. Dive sites we may visit in Surin islands includes: Koh Chi in the north of Surin Island, Torinla in the South offering enjoyable drift dives, Surin bay, yellow rock and some nice night dives in the bays... There is an opportunity to see Jenkins Stingray, Napoleon fish, a lot of sweetlips, Barracudas, Humphead Parrotfish, Manta Ray, Eagle Ray, Reef Sharks and giant morrays... Richelieu Rock, is always listed in the top 10 dive sites in the world! It can be described as a big aquarium. Here we find more or less everything … Richelieu Rock is one of the places in Thailand to see Whale Shark but also seahorses and plenty of kinky cuttlefish action. Note: This itinerary is provided as sample itinerary and can be modified by The Smiling Seahorse based on weather forecast or other unforeseen circumstances. Black water dives are unguided and only suitable to experienced divers.
