Dive sites visited are at the discretion of the Captain and are weather dependent. Kimbe Bay: is world-renowned for its extraordinary marine biodiversity and dramatic underwater landscapes. Divers can explore vibrant coral gardens, sheer coral-covered walls, pristine white-sand cays such as Restorff Island, and iconic seamounts including Bradford Reef, Inglis Reef and Joelle's Reef. These nutrient-rich reefs support dense schools of reef fish, colourful invertebrate life and some of the finest underwater photography opportunities in the world. North Coast New Britain: The Fathers Reefs, Lolobau Islands and the Bainings region lie beneath the imposing volcanoes of the region and offer spectacular diving on seamounts and coral-capped pinnacles rising from the depths of the Bismarck Sea. Dive sites such as Norman's Knob, Lesley's Knob, Killibob's Knob and The Archway showcase stunning soft coral and sponge gardens, along with encounters with rays, turtles, barracuda, schooling jacks and reef sharks. The area offers outstanding opportunities for both wide-angle and macro photography. The Witu Islands: the remote volcanic islands group northwest of Kimbe Bay combine dramatic topography with authentic cultural encounters. Highlights include spectacular seamounts such as Lama Shoals, where pelagic action often surrounds divers in the blue, along with coral arches, pristine reefs and memorable night dives on black-sand slopes. Diving the extinct caldera of Garove Island always impresses. Visits from local villagers paddling traditional canoes trading tropical fruit and vegetables add a uniquely Papua New Guinean flavour.
