This 11-day liveaboard itinerary explores the rich and varied waters of North Sulawesi and the Togian Islands, sailing from Bitung to Luwuk with up to 32 dives planned. The route combines coral reefs, volcanic landscapes and remote island systems, offering a wide range of diving styles from macro to wide-angle. The trip begins in Lembeh Strait and Flesko, with gentle check dives, coral slopes and excellent macro life, before continuing south to Bolsel and Gorontalo. These areas are known for colourful soft corals, steep walls, unique sponge formations and, at times, encounters with large pelagics along known migratory routes. The second half of the journey focuses on the Togian Islands, including Una-Una, Kadidiri and the remote Pulau Dua region. Expect calm conditions, volcanic reefs, pinnacles, caverns and healthy coral gardens, rounded off with relaxed final dives and an island visit before disembarkation in Luwuk.

We meet you at the airport in Manado or your hotel and transfer to the harbour. Once onboard, you settle into your cabin, set up your dive gear and join the welcome briefing. After settling in, we do the check dive in one of the protected bays of Lembeh Strait. Example dive sites: Hairball.

Your first full day of diving takes place around Tanjung Flesko, a region with coral slopes, ridges and changing visibility that creates great atmosphere for photography. Expect healthy reefs, macro life and relaxed diving. Example dive sites: Batu Mandi, Flesko Garden, Flesko Brother, Mangrove Corner.

We continue south into Bolsel, a coastal region known for colourful reefs, soft corals and plenty of reef fish. Bolsel offers gentle drifts and varied topography with excellent biodiversity. Example dive sites: Princess Maherna, Bare’s, Soputa, Transpatua Mangrove.

The scenery changes as we arrive in Gorontalo, famous for its volcanic formations, Salvador Dali sponges and steep walls. This area lies along a migratory route and occasionally offers whale shark encounters. Example dive sites: Djin Cave, Traffic Circle, Swerling Steps, Gorontalo ND.

We enter the calm waters of Tomini Bay and reach Una-Una, an active volcanic island with nutrient-rich reefs. Expect huge sponges, lush coral slopes and plenty of schooling fish. Example dive sites: Fishomania, Kingston Wall, Black Forest.

Another full day at Una-Una gives time to explore more volcanic reefs, pinnacles and lava-formed landscapes. Marine life is abundant and conditions are generally calm. Example dive sites: Apollo, Fishomania (south sector), Apollo Ridge, South Una-Una.

We continue west into the central Togians toward Kadidiri, known for its coral gardens, gentle slopes and good visibility. The area has a mix of wide-angle and macro opportunities. Example dive sites: B24 Bomber Wreck, Kadidiri Wall, Shark Point.

We reach the remote Pulau Dua area, known for its dramatic walls, caverns and large coral heads. The reefs here feel untouched and the conservation efforts in the area help maintain healthy corals and thriving fish populations. Example dive sites: Batu Gong, Tanduk, Ali Baba 1, Pulau Dua ND.

A second day in Pulau Dua allows time to explore more pinnacles, slopes and sheltered bays. Expect relaxed drifts and a healthy mix of reef fish and macro critters. Example dive sites: Solan, Batu Tetek, Ali Baba 2, Tompotika house reef.

Two morning dives around Pulau Dua, enjoying one last look at its walls, caverns and coral formations. In the afternoon, there is an excursion on Pulau Dua island to explore its beaches and viewpoint before starting the overnight navigation toward Luwuk. Example dive sites: Batu Gong, Tanduk.

After breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye to the beautiful Wellenreng and her crew. We’ll arrange your transfer to the airport or your hotel.
