Your Adventure Begins in Jeddah – Setting Course for the Farasan Banks Your diving adventure starts at the modern port of Jeddah, where you’ll board the Dolphin Island liveaboard. To ensure a smooth departure, all guests should be on board by 3:00 pm—giving us plenty of time to settle in, meet the crew, and soak up the anticipation before we set sail that very evening. As the sun sets, our yacht glides south towards the legendary Farasan Banks. The overnight journey is part of the experience: relax on deck, enjoy the gentle rhythm of the sea, and—if you’re lucky—watch for whale sharks feeding on plankton near the harbor. By Sunday morning, we reach our first dive sites and the adventure truly begins: crystal-clear waters, pristine reefs, and the feeling of discovering a hidden underwater world. From Monday onwards, we’ll be in the heart of the southern Farasan Banks, where you can expect 3–4 spectacular dives each day. Please note: Night dives are not permitted in marine park zones, but whenever possible, we’ll make sure to offer night diving experiences at suitable locations. Mubarak Reef in the south is renowned for frequent hammerhead sightings, especially from February to late March when conditions are ideal. Day 1: Arrival in Jeddah and embarkation Arrival at King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED) and transfer to the port. Check-in on Dolphin Island, your home for the next seven nights. (Dive safaris usually run from Saturday to Saturday.) Settle into your comfortable cabin and familiarize yourself with the ship's amenities. Enjoy a delicious dinner prepared by our chef and get to know your fellow divers. Days 2-6: Diving in the treasures of the Red Sea Experience up to four dives per day at some of the Red Sea's most famous dive sites, including vibrant coral reefs, fascinating shipwrecks and underwater canyons. Encounter a variety of marine life, from colorful fish and graceful sharks to playful dolphins and majestic manta rays. Experienced dive guides will lead you on unforgettable underwater adventures, share their knowledge of the local marine ecosystem and ensure your safety. Enjoy delicious meals and snacks throughout the day, prepared with fresh, local ingredients. Relax on the sun deck, enjoy the whirlpool or unwind in the lounge area between dives. Day 7: Disembarkation and departure Enjoy one last breakfast on board the M/Y Dolphin Island. After breakfast you will be taken to King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED) for your departure, with memories of an extraordinary underwater adventure.
