Day 1: Embarkation from 4:00pm, Vessel departs from Walindi Plantation Resort at approx 6:00pm Days 2-8: 4 dives per day, typically scheduled as follows: - Light Breakfast, briefing, Dive 1 - Full Breakfast, relax/interval, briefing, Dive 2 - Morning Tea, relax/interval, Lunch, briefing, Dive 3 - Afternoon snack, relax/interval, briefing, Dive 4 (may be a dusk dive) - Dinner Day 9: 2 morning dives only, lunch, vessel steams to port Day 10: Disembarkation up until 9:00am (to suit outward flights where applicable) The Fathers Reefs and Kimbe Bay itinerary includes diving on Fathers Reefs, the Lolobau Islands, and the outer reefs of Kimbe Bay. Dive sites visited are selected by the Captain and are subject to weather and conditions. Fathers Reefs and Lolobau Islands: Dominated by Mount Ulawun to the west, this area features seamounts and coral-capped pinnacles rising from the depths of the Bismarck Sea. Exposed to nutrient-rich currents and upwellings, the reefs support healthy coral growth and abundant marine life. Dive sites such as Norman's Knob, Lesley's Knob, Killibob's Knob, and The Archway offer soft coral and sponge gardens, schooling barracuda and jacks, sharks, rays, turtles, and excellent opportunities for both wide-angle and macro photography. Kimbe Bay: Kimbe Bay is renowned for its biodiversity and varied underwater landscapes. Dive sites include coral gardens, coral-covered walls, white sand cays such as Restorff Island, and offshore seamounts including Bradford, Ingliss, and Joelle's Reefs. These reefs support dense schools of reef fish, diverse invertebrate life, and a wide range of photographic opportunities, making Kimbe Bay one of Papua New Guinea's most celebrated diving regions.
